New finish~ Shaker Hearts

Another quick finish, this is called Shaker Hearts. This pattern caught my eye because it is done in various shades of red which I really love! My bedroom is decorated in red so this was just perfect for me. I have to admit that at first as I kept stitching I was not really liking it and was considering dumping this one but I kept stitching on to see if I would take a better liking to it. I have to admit after it is all fixed up I really do like it! I want to eventually make some more pillows that are decorative for my bed but I have plenty of time to do that. I already started stitching a new piece on Saturday night so I am hoping to be done with that by the weekend. Thanks for looking!

  4. Thanks again. I bought 20 yards of red silk last year at Joann fabrics. I got this at 1.00 a yard because it was discontinued so I definitely snatched that up in a hurry. It did turn out quite nice for something that I was ready to give up on!

  5. Kay,
I really like the pillow! It is to drool over. I love your finishes... very, very imaginative. You definitely have a mind, heart and hand for this. It is totally awsome!, and I don't use that 'A' word often at all!
I am so glad you didn't give up on it, and what an indulgence! Silk, red at that. You Go Girl! I hate to shop....for anything....but I guess I will have to change my mind.
Thanks also for signing up for my blog.

  6. Cait,

Thank you so much for your kind words they mean a lot to me. The red silk was pure luck as far as getting it. I went into Joann fabrics looking for red fabric to make curtains for our bedroom and luckily for me I stumbled upon that and seeing as it was under 20.00 for the remainder of the silk they had left I figured I would be a fool to pass this one up. Sometimes you get lucky when shopping and find some pretty amazing deals!

  7. Kay, thanks for visiting my blog. There is a free program called KG Chart LE that I downloaded and started using when I started designing and loved it! If you really want to design your own, give it a try!
