Happy New Year!

I have a few small finishes to share. The pictures I took do not do my work any justice though. I made 2 Victorian looking snowflakes from a cross stitch book that I checked out of the library by the Needlecraft Shop. I also have gotten another small finish done from the JCS Christmas magazine. This one is by Niki's creations. I am loving the Christmas edition of this magazine, so many designs I want to stitch so little time! I hope everyone had a good holiday season. Ours was a lovely holiday and a quiet one as well. Could not ask for more than that. Last year in our household brought a lot of bad times and sadness, so even though I was slightly panicking over the end of a year and the start of a new one on New Years Eve, I also am ready to get this year under way and work on leaving last year far behind. The other day I went to my local library because every January and August they have a book sale. I always go on the last day because the last day of the sale it is 1.00 a bag, so needless to say I walked out with 2 bags and 1 huge box for 3.00! My biggest find of the day at the library sale I was so thrilled about! The box I got was filled with nothing but many cross stitch magazines from Stoney Creek, to Just Cross Stitch, Cross Country Stitching and so much more!!! I am so thrilled with myself and cannot wait to start rummaging through my magazines!! As always thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone's holiday season was a good one!

  5. Kay, thank you for your visit to my blog! Every time I come to yours, you have delightful finishes! Your ornaments are beautiful!

What a great find at the library sale! That will keep you busy for a long time just pouring through the magazines! And even longer if you stitch designs from them!

Thank you for your kind remark about my Dad's health, but unfortunately, we lost him January 5. He went peacefully in his sleep, for which we are thankful, and for him, the misery of being sick and disabled is over. We have our wonderful memories to sustain us.
